The only drawback is the dial isn't lighted but other than that it works perfect. It works great in a place where you don't want to be disturbed by noise. This phone makes a terrific second phone. I have the ringer turned off and it flashes when it receives a call and also has a low level flash when it has a new Caller ID.
It has a decent ring but the spiral phone cord is a bit short. This was purchased for emergencies for when the power fails.
No more getting unwanted calls because he can see the numbers right on the handset. This was a gift for a friend and he says he likes it.
